Reservation, hire and payment
Reservations can be made as follows:

Once you have made a reservation we will send you a hire contract by post; you are to sign and return a copy to us. In addition, upon signing you must pay 50% of the total hire price by deposit on our bank account number with the Friesland Bank in Sneek: IBAN : NL89FRBK0295206837 SWIFT-adres bank : FRBKNL2L. Your reservation will then be definite. The remaining 50% must be paid three weeks before the voyage.
Hire price
The hire price is inclusive of 19% VAT and “all risk” insurance.
Additional costs are: diesel oil, cancellation insurance, bridge and port dues.
Cancellation insurance is highly recommended; it costs 5% of the hire.
A form will be sent in case you are interested.
Security deposit
Before sailing, the charterer must pay a security deposit of € 500. This is similar to the excess you find in insurance policies. The deposit must be paid in cash at the time of sailing.
If the yacht is returned without damage, in its original condition and on time, the security deposit will be returned to the charterer.
Sailing times
You can set sail Saturday morning from 9.00 hours on. The yacht must be returned at latest on Friday afternoon before 16.00 hours. Make sure that you are back in time, so that we will be able to prepare the yacht for our next guests.
Weekend or mid-week bookings
A weekend or mid-week slot can be reserved shortly before the start of the voyage in consultation between the parties.
A weekend slot runs from Friday evening 19.00 hours and ends Monday morning at 10.00 hours and costs 65% of the week price.
A mid-week slot runs from Monday afternoon 14.00 hours up to and including Friday afternoon 16.00 hours and costs 60% of the week price.
Pets
After consultation with us, it is possible to take a small pet on the Vacance yachts.
Navigation License
A navigation license is compulsory in the Netherlands for boats 15 metres or longer or with a speed higher than 20 km/hr. A navigation license is thus not required for our yachts.
Naturally it is not wise to set off without any sailing experience and knowledge of the rules of navigation. If you have some experience, we will be happy to go on a short trial run before setting sail, after the instruction.
If you do not have any sailing experience, there is an option for chartering one of our luxury motor yachts. We will book a skipper for you from the Schippersstarthulp sailing academy.
On the first day of your holiday you will have a sailing instructor on board who will teach you all the ins and outs of sailing in a relaxed manner. This will be combined with some interesting theory and knotting techniques. The instructor will speak to the entire ‘crew’ so that everyone knows what is expected of him or her on board.
